2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using this website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this website.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this website or engage our services. By using this website, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Nature of Website Content
The content published on this website is provided for general information only. It does not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon as such. No solicitor-client relationship is formed through the use of this website alone.
Legal situations are fact-specific. Nothing on this website can substitute for advice given by a qualified legal practitioner who has been informed of the particular circumstances of your matter.
4. Enquiries and Initial Contact
Submitting an enquiry through our contact form or by telephone does not constitute an engagement of our services. An engagement begins only when both parties have signed a written engagement agreement and the applicable engagement fee has been received.
We will respond to initial enquiries within one working day. We reserve the right to decline to act for any prospective client, including where a conflict of interest exists.
5. Service Descriptions
5.1 Still-Water Sitting
The Still-Water Sitting is a standalone consultation service. Engagement of this service does not create an obligation on either party to enter into further engagement. A written summary will be provided within three working days of the sitting.
5.2 Patient Course in Divorce Matters
Representation in divorce matters is subject to a separate engagement agreement setting out the scope of work, fee structure, and each party's obligations. The fee stated on our website ("from SGD 450") represents a starting figure and the full cost will depend on the nature and extent of the matter.
5.3 Considered Mediation
Mediation services are subject to a separate engagement agreement. Both parties to the dispute must consent to mediation. The fee stated ("from SGD 325") is per session; the total number of sessions cannot be determined in advance.
6. Fees and Payment
Fees for the Still-Water Sitting are payable in advance of the sitting. Fees for ongoing services are structured as set out in the engagement agreement. All fees are stated in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and are subject to applicable taxes.
Payment is accepted by bank transfer or such other methods as set out in the engagement agreement.
7. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellations of a booked Still-Water Sitting made more than 48 hours before the scheduled time will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the sitting will not be eligible for a refund unless exceptional circumstances apply, at the firm's discretion.
For ongoing engagements, fees paid in advance for work not yet carried out will be refunded if the engagement is terminated. Fees for work already completed are not refundable.
